Helicopter Accidents In An Event Chart
In event charts, there are a few indicators when a helicopter may be involved in an accident. You can also determine whether a helicopter could be helpful when finding a missing person (see Amanda Eller case). You will look for the sign Aquarius (ruled by Uranus) or the planet Uranus. There are also patterns that point to the 11th house in the chart and in midpoints. Can the 11th house with aspects to Uranus mean “accident?” We look at a few examples below:
Kobe Bryant, daughter and friends
January 26, 2020
Timestamp: 9:45 am
Location: Calabasas, CA
Victims: 8 people including pilot
Accident, Private Transportation
Cause: Poor Visibility, alleged pilot error
Result: Victims incurred blunt force trauma after helicopter unexpectedly veered left after a steep climb to avoid thick fog and subsequently slammed into a hillside.
Astrological symbols: Neptune (fog) squaring ruler of victims (Mars) = lack of visibility. Ascendant: 4 ARIES: “Home Team Athletes,” (Click images below to enlarge).
Investigators have offered no explanation for what might have led the aircraft to bank abruptly to one side and then plummet to the ground…clouds, fog and limited visibility reported in the area on Sunday were a key focus of the investigation, which will take at least a year to complete. Tour Group on Vacation
December 26, 2019
Takeoff: 4:40 pm
Location: Waimea, HI
Victims: 7 people including pilot
Accident, Tour Helicopter
Astrological Symbol: (Neptune): Fog
Cause: Poor visibility, fog
Result: Struck a cliff and killed all passengers on board
Astrological symbols: Point of trouble: Neptune (clouds, fog, lack of visibility)
Signature of Helicopter for this chart (Uranus + Mercury) = small helicopter. Mercury (small)
Uranus at 2 (the wealth degree) is an expensive mode of transportation. Mercury = travel, “2” or “small.” Uranus = “Up High.” (Click image to enlarge).
Review the planets closest to the angles first. See Neptune at 16° in Pisces (it is located at the top of the chart – showing
strength – also known as “elevated”) and Mercury (meaning “2” or “small”) by the
DSC. In this accident, seven people perished when their sightseeing helicopter crashed. Note: Mercury in Sagittarius (“Foreign Group Traveled”). Swiss nationals were aboard the fatal flight. Two helicopters (the tour helicopter and the search helicopter) were involved.
Tour Group on Vacation
July 23, 2003
Reported missing: 9:30 am
Location: Lihue, HI, near the location made famous by the movie Jurassic Park
Victims: 5 people died including pilot
Cause: Volatile weather but official cause reported as “unknown.” A Bell 206B helicopter tour crashed while nearing the Waialeale Crater on Kauai. The pilot failed to maintain adequate terrain clearance / altitude while descending into adverse weather over mountainous terrain. The tour helicopter was reportedly 26 years old (see Saturn/”old”).
Result: The crash site was in an inaccessible location, approximately 700 feet from the lip of the crater. Two teams of recovery workers were flown in on a Black Hawk helicopter. One landed about 1000 ft. below the crash site. The second was sent down on cables once the weather finally broke. Even then, two recovery workers were stranded on the mountain for several hours.

There are not many reports about this helicopter crash, but what is known is that the group wanted to look at the famous waterfall and location made famous by the movie Jurassic Park. In this chart, the victims are ruled by the Sun (in the 12th house) since the Ascendant is located in Leo and its ruling planet is the Sun. They are also ruled by the Moon (conjunct North Node) by the MC, coincidentally conjunct the demon star, Algol. Algol could mean a “beast” which may represent the dinosaurs out in the open (MC) made famous by the movie – which was the motivation for the tour group to visit. It can also represent alcohol.
July 23, 2003, five people died when a Bell 206B helicopter tour, operated by Jack Harter Helicopters, crashed while nearing the Waialeale Crater on Kauai. The pilot failed to maintain adequate terrain clearance / altitude while descending into adverse weather over mountainous terrain. Baum Hedlund
This chart does not reveal weather-related causes with as much clarity as the other charts that are reviewed on this page, although Uranus (helicopter) is in Pisces which could mean fog, or perhaps the helicopter got lost or didn’t see a clear path in or out. I would like to see Neptune more prominent if I were to say “rain” or weather although it seems it was a factor. Not maintaining adequate terrain clearance would point to Taurus at the top of the chart (Taurus: Terrain, Land). What is noticeable is Saturn (old/black) aspecting Uranus = “old helicopter” which we see from news reports that it was as mentioned above. Coincidentally, a Black Hawk (also represented by Saturn, “black” + Uranus, “helicopter”) was brought in for the recovery which is clearly shown.
In any chart, when you see Pluto (massive) + Jupiter (expansive) it literally means “Jurassic.” And aspecting Leo (a park) it translates to “Jurassic Park.” In the 12th house, the Pisces house, it’s evident that they may have failed in finding a good landing spot or couldn’t see the area well (square MC “out in the open”).
